Assistant Coaching Career After graduation Nutt became a graduate assistant for Oklahoma State and was promoted to offensive coordinator in 1989. Nutt was recruited as a full-time assistant coach but chose to return to Oklahoma State under head coach of the Arkansas School for the school.
